Haider Ali representing Pakistan against England - AFPDerbyshire County Cricket Club has signed Pakistan's hard-hitting batter Haider Ali for the complete 2023 season. Coached by former Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur, Derbyshire will be having the services of 22-year-old cricketer throughout the season. Haider, who has played two ODIs and 33 T20Is for Pakistan, will be available to the county, subject to his availability from national commitment. Derbyshire's Head of Cricket, Arthur, said: "Haider is an immensely talented young player who already has a wealth of international experience, which will be key for us in all formats,
	
		
			
		
	
	
"I spoke with him at the T20 World Cup, and again during the Lanka Premier League, and he’s so hungry to come to England prove himself in all formats, that’s exactly the attitude we want in our dressing room,"It must be noted here that Pakistani opener Shan Masood was highlighted during the County season 2022 while representing Derbyshire. He played under the coaching of Arthur who had a successful record with Pakistan's national men's team as their head coach from 2016 to 2019. Under Arthur's coaching, Pakistan won its first-ever Champions Trophy title in 2017.
